NEW INMATE VISITATION GUIDELINES – Beginning April 7, 2021
– It shall be the policy of the Parmer County Jail not to discriminate against any inmate regarding any rights, including visitation.
-All visitation will be held on Thursday’s until further notice.
a) These visits will be prescheduled in advance and scheduling appointments will be received by phone by calling (806) 481-3303 on Wednesday prior to the Thursday visitation. You must be on the approved visitors list. Time periods for visitation once made will not be altered unless approved by command staff.
b) Visitation will begin on the half hour for twenty minutes. Do not enter the lobby until fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled appointment and immediately begin visitation screening.
c) If visitors are sick and running a fever you will be denied enuy and visitation.
d) Visitors will wear a mask during their visit.
The visitation room is separated completely from the inmates and there are six sitting positions with a handheld phone and visitation through a window. Only three positions will be used at one visitation period allowing for a minimum of six feet distance from others. Position one three and six will be used. Jail staff will wipe down the phones used with disinfectant between visit periods.
