{"id":396,"date":"2012-07-26T03:27:47","date_gmt":"2012-07-26T03:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/parmercounty.texas.gov\/?page_id=396"},"modified":"2012-07-26T03:27:47","modified_gmt":"2012-07-26T03:27:47","slug":"probation-department-mission-statement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/parmercounty.texas.gov\/?page_id=396","title":{"rendered":"Probation Department Mission Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 287th Judicial District Community Supervision and Corrections Department is committed to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing for public safety<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>by accurately assessing individual offender needs and potential risks to public safety;<\/li>\n<li>by timely response to violations of supervision; and<\/li>\n<li>by holding the offender accountable for his\/her behavior through the administration of sanctions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Providing quality services to the Court(s)<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>by assisting the Court(s) in decision making through the preparation of accurate, quality and meaningful investigations and reports;<\/li>\n<li>by recommending and applying the most cost-effective and efficient sanctions in lieu of more expensive alternatives;<\/li>\n<li>by effectively supervising those persons sentenced to community supervision; and<\/li>\n<li>by enforcing of the orders of the Court(s) in a fair and equitable manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Maximizing the rehabilitation of offenders<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>by recognizing that people are capable of change;<\/li>\n<li>by being knowledgeable of and applying available, effective programs and sentencing alternatives\/sanctions that reinforce law abiding and socially responsible behavior; and<\/li>\n<li>by providing services and programs that afford opportunities for offenders to become more law abiding, productive citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 287th Judicial District Community Supervision and Corrections Department is committed to: Providing for public safety by accurately assessing individual offender needs and potential risks to public safety; by timely response to violations of supervision; and by holding the offender accountable for his\/her behavior through the administration of sanctions.
