{"id":134,"date":"2012-06-10T19:27:57","date_gmt":"2012-06-10T19:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/parmercounty.texas.gov\/?page_id=134"},"modified":"2012-06-10T19:27:57","modified_gmt":"2012-06-10T19:27:57","slug":"what-are-the-eligibility-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/parmercounty.texas.gov\/?page_id=134","title":{"rendered":"What are the eligibility requirements?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Behavior<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cannot knowingly or willingly participate in the crime.<\/li>\n<li>Cannot share responsibility for the crime.<\/li>\n<li>Cannot be the offender or an accomplice.<\/li>\n<li>Cannot be an inmate when the crime occurs.<\/li>\n<li>Must cooperate fully with the law enforcement and prosecution of the case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting the crime<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The victim must have reported the crime to a law enforcement agency within a reasonable period of time that does not impede the investigation and prosecution of the case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Filing the application<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The victim or claimant must file the claim within 3 years of the date of the crime if the crime occurred after September 1, 1997. Before September 1, 1997 they have 1 year from the date of the crime to file.<\/li>\n<li>Child victims filing an application have until their 21st birthday to make the claim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Behavior Cannot knowingly or willingly participate in the crime.
